Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University (ZEGU) is inviting suitably qualified personnel to fill in the following post:
Works Infrastructure Maintenance Supervisor (1 Post)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating the activities of artisans, grounds personnel, and other maintenance staff.
• Receiving, prioritising, allocating, and monitoring job cards to ensure timely completion of maintenance works.
• Inspecting completed maintenance works to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Coordinating routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance of University buildings, infrastructure, and facilities.
• Monitoring the use and maintenance of tools, equipment, materials, and other departmental resources.
• Conducting regular inspections to identify maintenance requirements and recommend corrective action.
• Ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations during maintenance operations.
• Maintaining maintenance records and preparing periodic reports.
• Assisting in the planning and implementation of infrastructure maintenance programmes.
• Performing any other duties as assigned by the Campus Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• A National Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Building Technology, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any other related technical qualification.
• A skilled trade qualification in plumbing, electrical installation, carpentry, bricklaying, or a related building trade will be an added advantage.
• At least three (3) years' relevant supervisory experience in facilities, infrastructure, or maintenance management.
• Sound knowledge of building maintenance, infrastructure management, and occupational health and safety standards.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and supervisory skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
