Reporting to: Principal

Duties and Responsibilities

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

* Oversee academic training through curriculum implementation.
* Manage internal and external examination processes.
* Align academic policies with national standards.
* Review institutional policies, strategies and procedures.
* Supervise production of the academic calendar.
* Facilitate academic events and meetings.
* Produce the college timetable.
* Coordinate examinations.
* Chair interviews, student disciplinary committees and disciplinary cases.
* Coordinate internal and external assessment programmes.
* Oversee availability of learning space.
* Provide teaching and learning tools and equipment.
* Supervise staff.
* Act as Principal in the Principal’s absence.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications, Experience and Required Attributes

* Bachelor’s Degree in Education Administration plus a postgraduate Diploma in Teacher Education or Technical and Vocational Education or equivalent.
* Master’s Degree in Educational Administration or equivalent.
* PhD is an added advantage.
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience at Principal Lecturer level or equivalent.
* Thorough understanding of national education policies and priorities.
* Knowledge of the Manpower Planning and Development Act and Tertiary Education Service Regulations (SI 27 of 2025).
* Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Good public relations.
* Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
* Highly computer literate.
