TRAINING AND WELLNESS OFFICER
We are seeking a vibrant and dynamic Training and Wellness Officer to join our team. Reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner, the successful applicant will, among other key duties, be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities
• Designing, developing, and delivering training programs tailored to employee needs.
• Assessing training needs through surveys, interviews, and performance evaluations.
• Monitoring and evaluating training effectiveness to ensure continual improvement.
• Developing and implementing wellness initiatives that promote physical and mental health.
• Organizing health screenings, fitness challenges, and wellness workshops.
• Collaborating with external vendors and healthcare providers to enhance wellness offerings.
• Fostering a positive workplace culture by promoting training and wellness programs.
• Coordinating capacity building programmes for the organization.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of safety policies, procedures, and initiatives to create a safe working environment.
• Conducting regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and suggesting corrective actions.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to investigate and analyze accidents, incidents, or near misses, and developing preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
• Maintaining accurate safety records, including incident reports, safety data sheets, and safety training documentation.
• Providing one-on-one coaching and support for employees seeking personal development.
• Creating communication materials to promote training and wellness initiatives.
• Maintaining accurate records of training sessions and participant feedback.
• Preparing reports on training outcomes and wellness program effectiveness.
• Managing budgets related to training and wellness initiatives.
• Staying informed about industry’s best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes related to safety, health, and wellness.
• Performing any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
• A Degree/ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management, International Relations/Affairs/Human Resources Management or equivalent.
• A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience.
• A Master’s Degree in the Relevant Field is an added advantage.
• At least ‘5’ Ordinary Level Passes including English Language and Mathamatics.
