Job Description

World Vision Zimbabwe (WVZ) invites qualified and experienced consulting engineering firms or
individuals to submit proposals for the provision of consultancy services for the design, technical
assistance, and supervision of construction works of the main entrance gate at the World Vision
Main Offices in Harare.

Duties and Responsibilities

Scope of Work
The consultancy will be carried out in three phases:
Phase 1: Design and Documentation
 Architectural and structural design of a boundary wall, guard room, and steel structure.
 Preparation of detailed drawings including site plans, elevations, sections, and 3D renderings.
 Integration of security features such as CCTV, electric fencing, and access control systems.
Phase 2: Bidding Support
 Technical assistance in the bidding process.
 Evaluation of bids and support in contract award procedures.
Phase 3: Construction Supervision
 Full-time supervision of construction activities.
 Quality assurance, compliance monitoring, and reporting.
 Liaison with stakeholders and verification of contractor claims.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Requirements
 Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
 Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction supervision and design.
 Proven track record in similar projects, preferably within the NGO sector.
 Fluency in English and local languages.
Proposal Submission
Interested consultants must submit:
 Technical Proposal: Detailing methodology, deliverables, timeline, and level of effort.
 Financial Proposal: Including daily rates, travel costs, per diem, and other relevant expenses.

Selection Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated using a Quality and Cost-Based Selection (QCBS) method:
 80% Technical Quality
 20% Financial Cost

