TENDER FOR THE MID TERM EVALUATION STUDY FOR UMZINGWANE AREA PROGRAMME
World Vision International Zimbabwe is implementing Umzingwane Area Programme is inviting tenders from reputable individuals /organizations to submit bids for the study of midterm evaluation study.The programme aims contribute towards uplifting of the standards of living for the community of Umzingwane community through socio-economic and spiritual transformation
Study objectives

Duties and Responsibilities

The study seeks to answer the following specific objectives:
1. Explore progress made in the first implementation phase towards programme
objectives including sustainability based on the OECD criteria. The midterm evaluation
report must help users to understand WV’s contribution to programme objectives
including sustainability. The evaluation will primarily cover the period of the first
implementation cycle and articulate the achievements during this cycle based on the
comparison of indicator values at baseline and evaluation. Indicators that relate to
sustainability drivers will be part of the measurement and comparison. The evaluation
report will also provide an account on the changes that have taken place from
programme inception to date.
2. Determine status of CWB indicators at the time of the midterm evaluation
The midterm report must help the users to understand the status of CWB outcomes that
were prioritized for this programme and whether the set CWB targets are met. The user
will have to understand the status of CWB indicators in relation to the national thresholds.
The community, partners and WV will need to understand the CWB achievements and
remaining gaps in order to further plan the way forward during the redesign phase.
Inform technical programme redesigning for the second phase of implementation (FY26-
FY30). The midterm report must outline lessons learnt and current gaps throughout
implementation to inform the redesign phase of the second cycle of programming.

Qualifications and Experience

World Vision Zimbabwe is looking for a consultant/research institute with members with the
following qualities:
I. Holder of an Advanced University Degree in Social Sciences, Agriculture, Child protection,
Public and Environmental Health or similar field.
II. Familiarity with project evaluations and practical experience and expertise in identifying
case studies, evidenced by previous research projects/ consultancies;
III. Strong qualitative & quantitative research portfolio evidenced by previous projects;
IV. Practical knowledge & expertise in participatory research with children and vulnerable
community groups (as well as standards and principles in the development cooperation sector);
V. Evidence showing how they intend to engage with & amplify voice of children and
vulnerable groups in the assignment;
VI. Capacity to deliver within an agreed timeframe.
