To provide technical, administrative, and operational support to the Agro-Industry Development Directorate through programme coordination, data management, project monitoring, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and management information support to facilitate effective implementation of Directorate programmes and projects.
• Coordinate implementation of Directorate programmes, projects, and Business Unit initiatives.
• Track project deliverables and follow up on outstanding actions with implementing teams.
• Support the preparation and review of project proposals, concept notes, business plans, and implementation frameworks.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret programme and project performance data.
• Develop and maintain project tracking systems, databases, and performance dashboards.
• Monitor achievement of project milestones, outputs, outcomes, and key performance indicators.
• Prepare technical analyses and summaries to support management decision-making.
• Maintain a comprehensive database of Business Units under the Directorate.
• Track Business Unit establishment, registration, production, marketing, and operational performance.
• Consolidate and analyze reports received from provinces and districts.
• Produce performance reports and trend analyses for management review.
• Compile weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual Directorate reports.
• Develop presentations, briefing notes and management reports.
• Generate statistical reports and performance summaries for strategic planning and decision-making.
• Maintain accurate records and management information systems for Directorate programmes.
• Facilitate information sharing between Head Office, provincial teams, and Business Units.
• Follow up on stakeholder commitments, action plans, and project implementation issues.
• Coordinate Directorate meetings, workshops, field visits, and stakeholder consultations.
• Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, resolutions, and action trackers.
• Manage Directorate records, correspondence, filing systems, and document repositories.
• Coordinate logistical and administrative requirements for Directorate activities.
• Ensure compliance with the Authority's policies, procedures, reporting standards, and governance requirements.
• Verify the quality and accuracy of information submitted by provinces and project teams.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Land and Water Resources Management, Irrigation Engineering, or a related field.
• A Postgraduate Diploma or master’s degree in Rural Development, Project Management, Water Resources Management, Agriculture Food Systems and Sustainability, or related discipline will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant post-qualification experience in land and water resources management, rural development, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in project implementation, monitoring and evaluation, technical reporting, and data analysis.
• Sound knowledge of water resources management, irrigation systems, and climate-smart agricultural practices.
• Proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD, and other data management and analytical tools will be an added advantage.
