STAFF VACANCY
POSITION: STATION SUPERINTENDENT – FERUKA
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced employees to fill the following position which has arisen within the Organisation.
SUMMARY
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in ensuring the efficient, safe and effective operation of the Company’s pipeline and associated facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plans, coordinates and supervises pipeline pumping programmes and schedules.
• Liaises with relevant stakeholders on operational and personnel matters and plans the manning of shifts and supervision of shift personnel.
• Provides management with timely and accurate information relating to the day-to-day operations of the pipeline and plant.
• Coordinates and supervises the planned and breakdown maintenance of the plant and associated facilities.
• Manages and administers the operations of Feruka and Wilton Stations.
• Ensures optimum plant utilisation and availability of resources.
• Coordinates and supervises projects as assigned.
• Monitors plant operations and ensures maximum plant and SCADA system uptime.
• Prepares and submits operational reports to management, including pumping and pipeline operations reports.
• Ensures compliance with applicable company policies, operational procedures, safety requirements and management systems.
• Manages operational risks and ensures that all activities are undertaken in a safe, efficient and environmentally responsible manner.
Qualifications and Experience

• Strong leadership, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• Knowledge and practical experience in SCADA systems. Siemens experience is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of and/or experience in any of the following management systems: ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in maintenance packages/software.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• A Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university.
• A recognised professional qualification/membership.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration.
• A clean Class 4 driver’s licence.
• At least 10 years’ working experience in engineering, pipeline operations, plant operations or a related field, of which 5 years must be at management level.
