Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to fill the above vacancy that has arisen in the Solar Engineering Department. Duties and Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of solar and electrical engineering projects from design to O&M.
• Coordinating teams and resources from GreenFuel during construction and commissioning of projects.
• Oversee procurement and logistics, leveraging GreenFuel’s established supply chain partnerships.
• Interpret, design, and review electrical and civil single-line diagrams and technical drawings.
• Ensure regulatory and Health & Safety compliance across all projects.
• Oversee installation of PV modules, mounting structures, inverters, battery systems, and distribution boards.
• Monitor project delivery using digital tools, reporting platforms, and solar monitoring portals.
• Maintain robust project administration, data, and document management systems.
• Manage contracts and construction deliverables, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers, consultants, GreenFuel teams and regulatory bodies.
• Report directly to the executive team, providing updates on project status, risks, and opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience

• B. Eng in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 4 years plus of relevant experience in solar or electrical engineering projects.
• Demonstrable track record completing commercial solar projects
• Proven project management skills, including:
o People and subcontractor management.
o Budgeting, forecasting, and financial accountability.
o Procurement and supply chain management.
o Construction and contract management.
o Installation and commissioning of solar and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PDF tools, and solar monitoring software.
• Strong administrative, data, and document management skills.
• Ability to travel frequently and manage multiple concurrent project sites.
