The School Social Media Marketing Personnel is responsible for developing and implementing the school's social media strategy to promote its brand, engage with the school community (prospective and current students, parents, alumni, and staff), and support admissions and communication goals. This role requires a strong understanding of various social media platforms, content creation, community management, and analytics in an educational context
Strategy Development: Develop, implement, and manage the school's social media strategy in alignment with overall marketing and communication goals.
Content Creation: Create engaging and relevant content, including text posts, images, graphics, videos, and stories, that reflect the school's voice, values, and activities.
Platform Management: Manage the school's presence on relevant social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.), including daily posting, monitoring, and engagement.
Community Engagement: Foster a vibrant online community by interacting with followers, responding to comments and messages in a timely and appropriate manner, and initiating conversations.
Content Calendar Management: Develop and maintain a social media content calendar to ensure consistent and timely posting.
Campaign Management: Plan and execute social media campaigns to support specific school initiatives, events, and admissions efforts.
Analytics and Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on social media performance using relevant analytics tools. Use data to inform strategy and optimize content.
Brand Management: Ensure all social media content aligns with the school's brand guidelines and messaging.
Stay Current: Monitor social media trends, best practices, and emerging platforms to keep the school's strategy innovative and effective.
Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., admissions, clubs, athletics, etc.) to gather content and promote their activities.
Crisis Communication Support: Assist in implementing social media aspects of the school's crisis communication plan if necessary.
Photography and Videography: Capture photos and videos of school events and daily life for use on social media.
Proven experience managing social media platforms
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to write engaging copy.
Proficiency in creating visual content (graphics, images) using design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer).
Understanding of social media analytics and reporting.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
