Duties and Responsibilities

Job role
Complies with SHEQ standards as per the SHEQ policy and ISO standards
Monitors gold smelting process and arranges gold transportation.
Assists in the escort of gold concentrates between plants and oversees the security of the whole process.
Carries investigations for crimes committed on company premises and facilitates prosecution of accused at courts
Performs follow ups on company assets sent out to suppliers for repairs
Conducts crime awareness campaigns within the workforce and the community in conjunction with the ZRP.
Audits and performs verifications on magazine register (Explosives register).
Enforces and ensures compliance of company’s code of conduct and security policy.
Deploys and supervises security guards.
Follows on criminal cases and disciplinary hearings involving theft and fraud and reports the outcomes to the Security Manager.
Attends criminal courts on behalf of the company and gives feedback to the Security Manager
Ensures that patrols are carried out on the mine lease area to guard against trespassers and illegal gold panners.
Facilitates gathering of intel inside and outside the mine
Provides daily, weekly, and monthly security briefing to the security manager
Carries out security checks for new employees at the ZRP.
Inspects the Security complaints and compliments books and ensures that they are maintained and also follows up on issues or concerns raised.
Ensures that all visitors are inducted on entry at the gates
Records statements from complainant, witness and accused persons after receiving a report and during investigations.
Receives and deliver confidential company letters to the Human Resources department.
Facilitates meetings with security supervisors, security managers, and the Zimbabwe republic police
Provides security on breakdowns at high-risk areas
Conducts security risk assessments
Provides draft standing instructions on the guarding posts.
Enforces SHE policy and procedures.
Provides fire marshal services in case of fire incidents.
Installs and manages cctv equipment and security alarms on the mine complex and mine residential premises
Installs and manages electric gates and electric security fence.
Performs any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

Must have skills
Problem Solving Skills Attention to Detail Effective Communication
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications; 5 ‘O’ levels including Mathematics, English and Science
Diploma in Security Management
