SALARIES ADMINISTRATOR
Grade: 10
Reports To: Assistant Director Human Capital
Duties and Responsibilities

* Prepare and process monthly payroll for all employees.
* Compute and process salaries, allowances, overtime, deductions and arrears.
* Capture new appointments, promotions, transfers, resignations and terminations on the payroll.
* Compute and remit PAYE, NSSA, ZIMDEF, pension, medical aid, union and other statutory and third-party deductions.
* Prepare payroll reports, payslips, schedules and statutory returns.
* Reconcile payroll records with the general ledger and HR records.
* Maintain accurate, confidential payroll records.
* Respond to employee salary queries and resolve discrepancies.
* Support internal and external audits on payroll matters.
Qualifications and Experience
Person Specification
* Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management, Accounting, Business Studies or a related field.
* At least 2 years’ experience in payroll or salaries administration.
* Diploma in Payroll Management is an added advantage.
* Membership of a relevant professional body is an added advantage.
* Knowledge of the Income Tax Act and PAYE computation, including current tax tables.
* Knowledge of NSSA, pension fund and other statutory deduction requirements.
* Knowledge of Promun System.
