Purpose of the position
World Vision Zimbabwe is looking for an exceptional graduate who is ready to explore a career that will make a difference in the lives of children in Zimbabwe. Our graduate internships provide a twelve-month opportunity to recent graduates in Zimbabwe to gain valuable and practical experience in one of the largest international humanitarian, development and advocacy organisations in the World.

Duties and Responsibilities

Major responsibilities
• Participating in proposal writing or review, including support to ensure all grants quality data or information is timely available for proposal development.
• Support RDDE Officers to identify and track donor new government, corporate and private donors for both prepositioning.
• Support in gathering and sharing intelligence for upcoming high-value opportunities from donors and World Vision HQs.
• Support in planning and executing fund raising events, as well as follow up actions with the donors after the events.
• Work with RDDE Officers and Technical Advisors to organise and facilitate HQ, partner and donor visits (e.g., confirming dates, creating the itinerary, checking availability of staff, ensuring donor and WV branding and visibility, and debrief meetings).
• Support in organising regular and ongoing engagements with potential local and international partners.
• Support in developing MOUs and sub-grantee agreements and filing all signed awards documents in WV Zimbabwe centralised repository.
• Support the drafting of inputs for RDDE reports, presentations and RDDE documents as well as assisting in the organisation of RDDE meetings and taking of minutes.

Qualifications and Experience

Knowledge/qualifications for the role
• Recent university graduates from the following specific areas of study are eligible to apply:
Development Studies, Disaster Management, Statistics/Monitoring and Evaluation, Agricultural Sciences, Agricultural Economics, Business Studies, Environmental Science, Marketing.
Communications, Sociology, Social Work/Social Studies.
• Graduates with solid knowledge to use Microsoft Office packages and handle diverse IT systems including presentations, databases and cloud-based content management, collaboration, and file sharing tools for businesses such as Salesforce, Box, Asana, Dropbox, Google workplace, OneDrive, Access, SQL server, IBM db2/Notes will have an added advantage.
• Graduates with demonstrated good character, honesty, high competency and generally in good physical and emotional health.
• Graduates who are practicing Christians regardless of denomination, gender and ethnic background.
