Organisational Context and Scope
Following a recent rebranding and the development of a new 5-year strategy, a premier natural resources’ management organisation requires a front-facing communication tool that adequately represents both its new identity and strategic direction. Thus, the organisation is looking for a professional brand identity (BI) consultant to work with its staff to develop a fresh, energetic, and engaging website that increases visibility to all stakeholders and partners. The consultant will design a new website (backend and frontend) and register a new domain, working closely with the organisation’s staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

SCOPE OF WORK AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The scope of work will include the following responsibilities:
• Build a new website with an optimised mobile version.
• Work on the front-end and back-end development of the website, integrating the organisation’s in-house system.

• Analyse the organisation’s old website, create a plan based on proposed changes from the organisation.
• Develop with a new website in line with the organisation’s brand manual and provide demo options to the organisation. The new website should be mobile-friendly, designed, and optimised to ensure every user, irrespective of the type of mobile devices they use, gets a good user experience from the site.
• Designan optimized mobile version of the website.
• Include pop-up messages and social media integration as requested by the organisation.
• The service providers can request a meeting with the organisation to better understand the assignment.
• The service provider is responsible for the deliverables above and providing realistic estimations of duration and cost.
• Under the scope of this assignment, upon the receipt of the first draft, the organisation reserves the right to request content revisions from the service provider, including edits needed because of technical errors by the consultant.

Qualifications and Experience

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
• The consultant selected to provide web and graphic design services for the organisation will work remotely and be responsible for their equipment and software.
• Professional tools (e.g., Wordpress, Adobe Creative Cloud suite, plugins etc) should be used to create designs.
• All designs created should be original, high‐quality products.
• All products designed should adhere to provided branding guidelines.
• Design files should be provided to the organisation upon request, and copyright will be retained by the organisation.
EXPERIENCE
To be eligible for consideration, interested service providers should demonstrate the following:
• Portfolio, business profile, and team composition.
• Proven experience in website design, specifically UI and frontend development. Examples of previous work to be provided.
• Proven experience in web and graphic design. Examples of previous work to be provided.
• Proven experience in Website Development.
• Proven experience in Mobile Development.
• Proven experience in front-end frameworks/tools.
• Experience in developing websites and graphic design works for well-known companies, newspapers, journals, and NGOs, is preferred.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
The service provider must abide by the following general requirements:
• All work must be completed as per agreed technical specifications
• The organisation will own copyright for all materials developed. All source materials and editable files for the developed products must be delivered to the organisation upon request and/or completion of the relevant design project.
• The service provider must not share any materials developed within the scope of this assignment externally, including in the company portfolio or social media platforms, without prior written consent from the organisation.
• All rates must be all-inclusive and include all charges connected with the services offered.

RESERVATIONS, CONFIDENTIALITY, AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The organisation reserves the right to withhold all or a portion of payment if performance is unsatisfactory, if work/output is incomplete, not delivered, or for failure to meet deadlines. In the event of the service provider ending the contract prior to delivering all agreed-upon products, a portion of the payments shall be returned to the organisation. The service provider undertakes to maintain confidentiality on all information that is not in the public domain and shall not be involved in another assignment that represents a conflict of interest with the prevailing assignment.
All intellectual property and other proprietary rights including, but not limited to, copyrights and ownership of data and content resulting from the performance of the services shall be vested in the organisation, including, without any limitation, the rights to use, reproduce, adapt, publish and distribute any item or part thereof.
