SavannahPro is a Harare-based business process outsourcing (BPO) company built for U.S. services businesses that need reliable, professional office support without the overhead of building an in-house team. Our staff support U.S. operations in sales, estimating, customer service, and administrative functions, working directly inside client teams as an extension of their business.

This role is being recruited for one of SavannahPro's valued U.S. clients, a driver education company. SavannahPro will manage the recruiting, screening, and placement process, and the successful candidate will be placed to work directly with the client's team.

Job Purpose
The Recruiting & HR Specialist is responsible for managing the organization's high-volume, full-cycle recruiting and new-hire processes, from initial application through coordination of onboarding and training programs. The position also supports a variety of HR administrative functions, including processing biweekly payroll, managing employee records, timekeeping, benefits administration, employment verifications, separations, unemployment claims, and responding to routine employee questions and requests. The position works closely with the client's Human Resources Director and other members of management to ensure HR processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities
● Manage and support talent acquisition activities, including reviewing applications, maintaining the applicant tracking system (ATS) and job postings, conducting initial interviews, coordinating second-round interviews, preparing and sending offer letters, and managing pre-employment background checks.
● Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including scheduling and facilitating onboarding meetings and coordinating initial training programs to support a smooth and effective transition into the organization.
● Administer biweekly payroll by verifying the accuracy of payroll-related data, gathering and inputting payroll changes, and working with employees to resolve issues.
● Oversee HR administration, including record-keeping, HRIS management, paid time off and leave of absence management, unemployment claim responses, employment verification, and other similar duties.
● Support the administration of compensation and benefits programs.
● Maintain compliance with all relevant U.S./State of Colorado employment laws and regulations, staying abreast of changes and updates.
● Promote the client's company culture and champion their core values.
● Other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree, ideally in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; and/or HR certification (SHRM-CP/PHR).
● 2+ years of experience in Recruiting, Human Resources administration or management.
● Thorough understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
● Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence others.
● Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
● Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
● Proficiency in HRIS, Microsoft Office, and other HR-related software.
● Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, professional home office setup suitable for remote work.
Job Details
● Location: Harare, Zimbabwe (SavannahPro office-based or hybrid, per current SavannahPro policy).
● Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, aligned to U.S. Mountain Standard Time office hours (approximately 9:00am–5:30pm MST).
● This role supports a U.S.-based client and requires strong spoken and written English.
