Recoveries Officer
Location: Harare, Zimbabwe
An Established Microfinance institution is seeking two qualified and results-based Recoveries Officers. The role is best suited for individuals with experience in managing delinquent loan accounts. This is in line with the institutions credit and risk management frameworks.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties
- Follow up on delinquent accounts
- Negotiation of repayment plans and follow up on adherence to loan schedules
- Conducting of field investigations on overdue clients
- Preparation of Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly arrears report for management
- PAR analysis for management
- Championing litigation processes including preparation of documentation for small claims court and liaison with the legal department
- Assist in maintaining, reconciling and analysing non-performing loan portfolios
- Maintenance of client interactions and payment arrangements
- Recommendation of appropriate recoveries strategies
- Work closely with operations to maintain healthy loan portfolios
Qualifications and Experience
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Banking, Finance, Business Management or related field
- A certification in Microfinance will be an added advantage
- At least 2 years working experience in a microfinance institution
- Knowledge of court processes, including small claims court
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, professionalism, integrity and persistence
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- A Clean driver’s license is a must
