Job Description

Must demonstrate expertise in Quantity Surveying with a minimum of 5 years of experience in this role within the construction Industry Tendering Department.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects at tender stage.
• Analyze tender documents, drawings, specifications and bills of quantities (BOQs)
• Compile and submit tender documents within deadlines
• Verify and approve information in the Estimating Department including reports.
• Assisting Project Manager on evaluating construction methods and determining cost-effectiveness of decisions, claims, final accounts
• Tender negotiations
• Present information and requisitions to Projects Manager and or Directors
• Communicate or disseminate information to subordinates.
• Liaise with clients and other stakeholders.
• To represent and serve the best interests of the company to meet client expectations and encourage repeat business.
• To ensure optimum commercial return is achieved for the project.
• Highlighting areas of concern / loss on any part of the contract

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor’s Degree in quantity surveying from a recognized institution.
- At least 5years of experience in the field, with significant exposure to tendering for large-scale projects, contract administration, and project management.
- Knowledge and experience with Candy Software
- Master’s Degree in QS is an added advantage
