CIVIL ENGINEER JOB
Project Civil Engineer (Clinic Construction-Harare based)
We are seeking a results-driven, hands-on Project Civil Engineer to oversee our clinic construction projects. In this role, you will be the core point of contact handling everything from local regulatory approvals and material procurement to on-site labor supervision. If you have strong project management skills and experience navigating local government compliance, we want you on our team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Regulatory Compliance: Prepare, submit, and hand in building applications to the local council.
• Council Liaison: Actively follow up with council officials to secure building permits and approval clearances without delays.
• Material Estimation: Take off quantities and accurately estimate required building materials to prevent waste and control budgets.
• Procurement & Logistics: Source, negotiate, and buy high-quality building materials from suppliers.
• Site Supervision: Manage and supervise daily on-site workers, contractors, and artisans to ensure structural integrity and timely delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: minimal experience 0-12 months.
• Skills: Strong understanding of local council building bylaws, material estimation, and site leadership.
• Attributes: Excellent negotiation skills, highly organized, and a proactive problem solver.
• Clean Class 4 Drivers license mandatory
