PROCUREMENT GRADUATE TRAINEE

We are looking for a vibrant and dynamic individual to fill the above position.

Reporting to the Procurement Officer, the candidate will be responsible for sourcing new supplies, materials, and services for the organisation.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
The incumbent’s key responsibilities shall include but not limited to: -
• Sourcing quotations and ascertaining that the Organisation acquires goods that have the best value for money.
• Securing the adoption of the appropriate method of procurement.
▪ Compliance with Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets (PPDPA)Act[Chapter 22’23] and Regulations [Statutory Instrument 5 of 2018] procurement procedures and regulations.
• Ensuring healthy relationships with Suppliers.
▪ Maintaining and supplying inventory, verifying inventory levels in stock, and advising Supervisor on replenishment needs;
▪ Initiating stores requisitions for the Organisation.;
▪ Receiving, storing and issuing supplies, parts, equipment, foodstuffs and other materials;
▪ Checking the quantity and quality of stores and supplies received against purchase orders or requisitions to ensure that they are correct;
▪ Preparing and maintaining accurate stock control records and reports;
▪ Setting up and maintaining records of perpetual inventory for ready reference;
▪ Locating and arranging to purchase infrequently used parts and equipment not covered by purchasing contracts;
▪ Maintaining maintenance and repair, cost control and warranty records on all pieces of equipment;
▪ Notifying Supervisor of problems with deliveries such as late deliveries, breakages or incorrect amount of delivery;
▪ Acknowledging receipt of goods and maintaining receiving records through the use financial and other computer softwares;
▪ Collection of procured goods from suppliers;
▪ Receiving, filing and dispatching received mail to relevant individuals; and
▪ Maintaining a record of fuel coupons received and distributing according to purchase orders.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications & Experience
▪ Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
▪ Computer applications in Excel, Word
▪ Knowledge in ERP system is an added advantage.
