The incumbent shall be the focal point for predictive maintenance and centre of excellence for asset condition monitoring techniques. Responsible to support the Department through continuously and competently ensuring availability and efficiency of all the critical harvesting machinery through developing planned and preventative maintenance systems, implementing, coordinating and monitoring as such that all maintenance activities are performed efficiently by anticipating and eliminating potential production delays within the relative standards of GreenFuel Pvt Ltd.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Collects equipment and machinery data, generates asset register and maintains departmental files that contain equipment data sheets and maintenance history.
• Plans/schedules, coordinates and monitors that all maintenance activities are carried out inorder to optimise the reliability of physical assets through embedding Condition Monitoring techniques and a proactive condition monitoring culture across Harvesting Department.
• Generates clear and precise task instruction SOPs with required information to get consistent applied standards for all maintenance work activities.
• Prepares and keeps track of departmental maintenance budget.
• Generates and manages accurately all maintenance reports.
• Coordinates and ensures that all maintenance consumables are correctly ordered and in place when required.
• Overseeing inventory control to ensure availability of spares and critical consumables to limit downtime and delays.
Qualifications and Experience
• A time-served artisan DPF/MILLWRIGHT/MOTOR MECHANIC with a minimum of 5 years all trades practical/hands-on experience working on harvesting equipment and machinery preferably in a sugarcane growing industry.
• Computer literacy in Ms Office, data presentation skills and ability to use applicable Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
• Team player, excellent interpersonal skills, time management and communication skills.
• A clean class 4 driving licence added advantage.
