Job Description

We are seeking a target-driven and experienced Pharmaceutical Sales & Business Development Officer to drive sales growth, develop customer relationships, and identify new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical wholesale and distribution sector.

The successful candidate will work with pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, medical centres, government institutions, and
other authorised healthcare customers, while actively pursuing government procurement opportunities through the Electronic Government Procurement (EGP) system.

Duties and Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Develop and maintain strong relationships with pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, government institutions, and other
healthcare customers.
● Identify new customers and develop profitable business opportunities.
● Promote the company's pharmaceutical products and achieve agreed sales targets.
● Identify, monitor, and pursue government tenders and procurement opportunities through the EGP system.
● Prepare and submit quotations, bids, and supporting documentation through the EGP platform.
● Monitor tender submissions, outcomes, purchase orders, and contract awards.
● Develop and implement sales strategies to grow the company's customer base and market presence.
● Follow up on customer orders, deliveries, accounts, and outstanding payments.
● Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, product availability, and customer requirements.
● Maintain accurate sales, customer, tender, and EGP records.
● Provide regular sales, tender, and market reports to management.
● Ensure all activities comply with applicable Zimbabwean pharmaceutical, procurement, and regulatory
requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
● Diploma or Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Marketing, Business, Sales, or a related field is an
advantage.
● Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales, pharmaceutical wholesale, medical sales, or business development.
● Strong practical knowledge and experience using the Electronic Government Procurement (EGP) system is
essential.
● Experience in government tenders and procurement processes in Zimbabwe.
● Good knowledge of the Zimbabwean pharmaceutical market.
● Strong sales, negotiation, communication, and customer relationship skills.
● Ability to work independently, meet targets, and develop new business.
● A valid driver's licence is an advantage.
