Duties and Responsibilities

Business Development & Employer Acquisition

Identify & Prospect: Pitch and present payroll lending solutions to target employers, corporate organizations, government institutions, and private enterprises.

Negotiate & Close: Lead negotiations with prospective employer decision-makers (HR Directors, Finance Heads, Union Leaders) to secure formal Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) or payroll deduction agreements.

Pipeline Management: Maintain an active sales pipeline, ensuring consistent conversion from initial contact to agreement sign-off.

Sales & Loan Origination

Drive Loan Volume: Market loan products directly to employees within partner organizations to meet and exceed individual and monthly company sales targets.

Promotional Campaigns: Plan and execute on-site client engagement strategies, activations, and presentations to raise product awareness among staff.

Product Alignment: Match appropriate loan terms and products to customer needs while ensuring alignment with the microfinance’s lending limits and guidelines.

Relationship Management & Account Servicing

Key Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for HR and payroll departments of partner organizations to ensure smooth operations.

Process Coordination: Coordinate with employer payroll teams to ensure seamless monthly loan deductions and remittance processing.

Query Resolution: Address and resolve customer and payroll-related issues promptly to maintain high client satisfaction and partnership retention.

Credit Assessment & Compliance

Document Verification: Collect, review, and verify loan applications and supporting documentation (pay slips, IDs, proof of residence, employment letters) for accuracy.

Preliminary Assessment: Conduct basic affordability assessments and check compliance against payroll loan limits (e.g., maximum debt-to-income ratios).

Risk Management: Collaborate with the internal credit/underwriting team to ensure low non-performing loan (NPL) rates by vetting applicant credibility and stability.

Reporting & Operational Duties

Sales & Activity Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports tracking sales volumes, pipeline status, conversion rates, and client feedback.

Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor product offerings, and market demands to recommend strategic improvements.

Qualifications and Experience

1. 2 to 3 years experience or recent graduates in Marketing, Banking, Finance or related fields
2. Self-driven, aggressive, and target-oriented individuals
3. Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
4. Comfortable working in a fast-paced and growing environment
