The Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following positions that have arisen within the Authority.
1. MONITORING AND EVALUATION (M&E) ANALYST
Job Purpose
To provide technical and analytical support in the design and execution of monitoring and evaluation frameworks, systems, and tools; to systematically collect, verify, and analyze procurement performance data; and to track compliance, accountability, and operational efficiency across procuring entities in line with the PPDPA Act.

Capture, clean, analyse and interpret results from regulatory compliance data collected from primary and secondary sources using standard statistical tools.
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for public procurement.
Prepare regular statistical reports on procurement performance for management and relevant stakeholders.
Compare procurement performance across procurement categories, entities, sectors, suppliers, and periods.
Provide evidence-based recommendations for improving procurement efficiency, value for money, competition, and transparency.
Use statistical techniques to assess procurement patterns and identify areas with potential risk.
Conduct compliance reviews, procurement audits, investigations, and risk assessments of procurement processes in public institutions as assigned.
Develop dashboards and early-warning indicators for procurement risks.
Produce accurate and timely statistical reports, dashboards, charts, tables, and management information.
Translate complex procurement data into clear and actionable information for non-technical users.
Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders where required.
Develop data collection templates, analytical methodologies, and reporting standards.
Train procurement staff and other stakeholders in basic procurement data analysis and interpretation where appropriate.
Maintain a complete documentation of methodologies, assumptions, data sources, and statistical procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
A postgraduate qualification in Statistics, Data Analytics or a related field is an added advantage.
Experience
At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in statistics, data analysis, monitoring and evaluation, procurement analytics, or a related field.
Experience working with public procurement data or within government/public-sector institutions is highly desirable.
Experience in developing statistical reports, dashboards, forecasts, and performance indicators.
Broad experience using statistical and data-analysis software and databases.
Technical Skills
Statistical analysis and interpretation.
Data collection, cleaning, validation, and quality assurance.
Procurement data analysis and performance measurement.
Statistical software such as R, Python, SPSS, Stata, or SAS.
Spreadsheet and database applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and SQL.
Data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau, as well as proficiency in developing infographics.
Forecasting, trend analysis, and predictive analytics.
Report writing and presentation of statistical findings.
Data governance and information management.
