Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced personnel to fill the following post which has arisen at Rusape Town Council.
MONITORING AND EVALUATION OFFICER
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer reports to the Town Secretary.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be reporting to the Town Secretary and will be responsible for:
* Developing and strengthening monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures.
* Monitoring project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving project outputs.
* Assisting in the preparation of reports on the findings and lessons learnt from project innovation.
* Reporting monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all project activities.
* Monitoring the sustainability of project results.
* Recommending improvements to project strategies and activities.
* Participating in annual project activities and workshops.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have the following:
Qualifications, Person Specifications and Experience:
* 5 ‘O’ Levels including Mathematics and English.
* Degree in Business Management / Economics / Statistics / Monitoring and Evaluation / Social Science with a component of research and evaluation or equivalent from a recognized institution.
* Knowledge of research and evaluation methods and principles is a must.
* Good evaluation, writing and problem-solving skills.
* Able to work independently and collaboratively with other departments.
* At least 4 years work experience in a similar environment.
* Knowledge of Whole of Government Performance Management Systems will be a distinct advantage.
