Mining Contracts Administrator

Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Manage and negotiate contracts with mining contractors, ensuring compliance, efficiency in procurement, and performance auditing to support smooth open-pit startup and underground transition in PGM operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Negotiate and draft contracts, aligning terms with operational needs for open-pit and underground phases.
Monitor contractor performance, conducting audits to ensure adherence to safety and production standards.
Handle procurement processes, sourcing equipment and services for PGM extraction.
Resolve contractual disputes, minimizing disruptions to mining activities.
Maintain compliance with Zimbabwean mining laws and international best practices.
Collaborate with technical teams to integrate contractor deliverables into Mine plans.
Prepare reports on contract efficiency and cost savings.
Advise on risk management in contractor relationships.

Qualifications and Experience

Requirements
Qualifications:

Degree in Mining or Law.
Minimum of five (5) years' experience in mining contracts management, ideally in PGMs.
Knowledge of Zimbabwean contract law and procurement regulations.
