JOIN OUR TEAM AS A:
MINE CAPTAIN
Aspect Mining Private Limited seeks a technically strong, results-driven Mine Captain to manage underground mining operations within an allocated section. The role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and cost-effective production, while achieving set targets for development, blasting, and overall productivity. The successful candidate will provide hands-on leadership, technical direction, and supervision in line with approved mining plans and statutory requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety, Health & Environment
* Ensure compliance with statutory and company safety standards.
* Conduct inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
Production & Operations
* Drive achievement of production KPIs for development, blasting, stoping, advance.
* Manage the full mining cycle: drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and support.
* Monitor equipment performance and resolve production constraints.
* Improve cycle times, efficiency, and overall productivity.
Technical Mining
* Apply strong knowledge of underground mining methods and ground control.
* Ensure adherence to mine plans, designs, and sequencing.
* Optimise drilling and blasting performance and control mining losses.
* Provide input into planning and operational improvements.
Qualifications and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
* Minimum 5 years underground mining experience, including 3 years in a supervisory role.
* Experience in hard-rock underground mining (mechanised or room-and-pillar an advantage).
* Valid Blasting Licence and NEC registration.
* Strong knowledge of mining methods, drilling & blasting, and safety regulations.
