MANAGING DIRECTOR
REPORTS TO GROUP CEO | MEMBER OF GROUP EXECUTIVE | NATIONAL NETWORK
Lead WISROD’s microfinance business with full accountability for responsible growth, portfolio quality, customer value, operational excellence and regulatory integrity across the national network.
Duties and Responsibilities
THE MANDATE
BUSINESS GROWTH & DISTRIBUTION
Drive sustainable portfolio growth, customer acquisition, channel strategy and branch productivity nationwide.
PRODUCT & CUSTOMER LEADERSHIP
Digitise the lending journey, improve turnaround times, automate decisions and embed strong cost discipline.
CREDIT & PORTFOLIO QUALITY
Own origination, underwriting, collections and portfolio analytics; protect asset quality and ethical lending.
DIGITAL & OPERATIONAL EXPERIENCE
Uphold regulatory, IFRS 9, KYC/AML, credit reporting and client protection standards; lead executive reporting.
RISK, GOVERNANCE & COMPLIANCE
Build differentiated loan products, sharpen pricing and elevate customer experience, loyalty and retention.
PEOPLE & PERFORMANCE
Build an accountable field organisation, develop leadership depth and align a dispersed national team behind results.
Qualifications and Experience
THE PROFILE
* 10+ years of progressive leadership in microfinance, consumer lending or retail banking.
* Leadership of large, dispersed teams across credit, collections and branch operations.
* 5+ years at senior executive level leading credit, branch networks or an MFI business.
* Product and digital transformation experience within a growing lending institution.
* Demonstrable portfolio growth delivered with strong asset quality and collections.
* Relevant degree plus MBA or professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAZ or Chartered Banker.
