Job Description

We are seeking a vibrant and dynamic individual Logistics Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, the successful applicant will, among other key duties, be responsible for:

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Fleet Management
• Overseeing the management and operation of a fleet of trucks to ensure timely deliveries.
• Coordinating vehicle maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure safety compliance.
• Monitoring fuel consumption and implementing cost-effective measures.
• Maintaining accurate records of vehicle usage and performance metrics.

Transportation Management
• Planning and optimizing transportation routes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensuring compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborating with drivers to ensure effective communication and support.
• Preparing transportation reports and analyzing delivery performance metrics.

Supply Chain Coordination
• Coordinating the procurement and timely delivery of materials and supplies.
• Managing inventory levels and ensuring optimal stock availability for fleet operations.
• Collaborating with suppliers to maintain strong relationships.
• Developing and implementing efficient logistics strategies to enhance service delivery.

Reporting and Documentation
• Maintaining and updating logistics documentation, including shipping records and invoices.
• Preparing regular reports on fleet performance and inventory status.
• Analyzing logistics data to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications & Experience
• A Degree A Degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or equivalent.
• At least 3 years’ relevant experience.
• Clean Class 2 Driver’s license.

Attributes
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
