The duties and responsibilities of a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor are grouped into 5 main categories which are:
(a) Teaching – the incumbent is expected to teach or deliver lectures in accordance to the Department and or Faculty guidelines and standards.
(b) University Service and Community engagement– the incumbent should participate in all Department, Faculty/School and University activities such as attending meetings, training workshops, conferences and seminars, among others.
(c) Research – the incumbent is expected to engage in active research in his/her area of specialization which benefits both the students and the University.
(d) Innovations – leading to tangible products and services.
(e) Industrialisation –through commercialisation of products.

The candidate must be capable of supervising students’ research work and should be able to teach the following modules:
LGM 210 Principles of Monitoring and Evaluation
HPMG 403 Information Systems and E-Government
HPMG 402: Project Planning
MPML 711 Public Sector Management Information Systems
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications & Experience
A first degree in Politics and Public Management/ Local Governance Studies/ Administration with at least a 2.1 pass.
A Master’s degree in Public Administration/ Local Governance Studies/Public Management.
A relevant PhD in Public Administration/ Local Governance Studies/Public Management
At least two years relevant teaching experience is an added advantage.
At least two publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals will be an added advantage.
