We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Instrumentation Technician who goes beyond routine maintenance to drive reliability and precision across all instrumentation and control systems. This is a critical role for someone with the technical depth and initiative to minimise downtime and uphold the highest standards of process control.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
• Install, commission, maintain, calibrate, and repair a wide range of instrumentation including transmitters, sensors, analysers, control valves, and field devices.
• Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance on measurement and control equipment to ensure sustained accuracy and reliability.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot instrumentation and control loop faults, ensuring prompt resolution to minimise production losses.
• Work closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to support process optimisation and plant improvement initiatives.
• Maintain comprehensive calibration records, maintenance logs, and technical documentation in line with quality and safety requirements.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards in all instrumentation activities.
• Participate in shutdown planning and execution, including instrument overhauls and loop checks.

Qualifications and Experience

Person Specification:
• National Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on instrumentation experience in a process plant, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment.
• Proven competence with process instrumentation including flow, pressure, temperature, and level measurement technologies.
• Working knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems; experience with DCS platforms is an added advantage.
• Well versed in VSD programming and maintenance
• Solid understanding of process control principles, including control loop configuration and tuning.
• Strong fault-finding and analytical skills with a methodical, safety-first approach.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
