A leading local logistics and freight forwarding company specializing in corridor management,
freight forwarding, and integrated supply chain solutions is seeking a highly organised, detail-
oriented, and experienced professional to join the team as an Import & Export Administrator.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate and administer all import and export shipments from origin to final
destination.
• Prepare, process, and verify import and export documentation, including commercial
invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, customs declarations, and certificates of origin.
• Liaise with clients, customs authorities, shipping lines, freight agents, transporters, and
clearing agents to ensure smooth cargo movement.
• Monitor shipment progress and provide timely updates to clients.
• Ensure compliance with Zimbabwean customs regulations and international trade
requirements.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation.
• Resolve shipment delays, customs queries, and documentation discrepancies.
• Coordinate transport bookings and delivery schedules.
• Prepare quotations, invoices, and shipping reports where required.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and business partners.
• Deliver excellent customer service throughout the shipment process.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
• Diploma or Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, International Trade,
Business Administration, Shipping, or a related field.
• Proven experience in import and export administration, freight forwarding,
clearing and forwarding, or logistics operations is mandatory.
• Practical experience in handling import and export documentation and coordinating
international shipments.
• Sound knowledge of customs clearance procedures and international shipping
documentation.
• Good understanding of Incoterms and international trade practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Experience working with freight forwarding or logistics management systems will be
an added advantage.
