Job Title: HSECQ Manager
Location: Filabusi, Insiza District, Matabeleland South
Job Type: Full-time
ABOUT THE ROLE
Kavango Mining is seeking to appoint a highly skilled and experienced HSECQ Manager to lead the Health, Safety, Environment, Community, and Quality functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, driving continuous improvement, and embedding a strong culture of safety, sustainability, and stakeholder engagement across mining operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Health & Safety Oversight: Develop and enforce occupational health and safety systems in line with Zimbabwean mining legislation.
• Environmental Management: Implement environmental monitoring, waste management, and rehabilitation programmes.
• Community Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with local communities, RDCs, and stakeholders.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure operational processes meet internal and external quality standards.
• Risk & Compliance: Conduct audits, risk assessments, and ensure adherence to ISO and industry standards.
• Training & Awareness: Lead induction, refresher training, and awareness campaigns for employees and contractors.
Qualifications and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in mining, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of Zimbabwean mining regulations and international HSECQ standards.
• Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and report-writing skills.
