1. GROUP MINE PLANNING ENGINEER
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain short-, medium- and long-term mine plans and production schedules.
Optimise resource extraction through geological modelling, mine design and planning software.
Coordinate with geology and mining teams to achieve production targets.
Monitor mining costs, budgets and operational performance.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and statutory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years' relevant mine planning experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Proven experience in mine planning software and modelling tools.
Professional registration or affiliation with a relevant professional body is an added advantage.
Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
