The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated, disciplined and technically strong Financial Accountant to join our growing
Finance team. This role is ideal for an ambitious accounting professional who enjoys building robust financial systems,
strengthening internal controls and contributing to a high-performance finance function within a dynamic investment
management environment. The successful candidate will work closely with senior finance leadership in maintaining
accurate financial records, improving financial processes, supporting statutory compliance and delivering timely, reliable
financial information to support business decision-making.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Preparing journals, reconciliations and month-end accounting adjustments.
• Maintaining the general ledger and supporting schedules.
• Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting financial reporting in accordance with IFRS.
• Performing bank, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
• Maintaining fixed asset and investment property registers.
• Supporting budgeting, cash flow monitoring and financial analysis.
• Preparing statutory returns and ensuring compliance with applicable tax and regulatory requirements.
• Supporting both internal and external audits through the preparation of schedules, reconciliations and
working papers.
• Assisting in strengthening internal controls, accounting policies and finance processes.
• Supporting finance transformation initiatives and continuous process improvement.
• Performing any other finance and accounting duties as may reasonably be assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should possess:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline from a recognised university (minimum
Upper Second Class (2.1) or equivalent).
• Progress towards a recognised professional accounting qualification such as CA(Z), ACCA, CIMA or an
equivalent professional qualification. Full qualification will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience in accounting, audit or financial reporting.
• Sound working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Good understanding of Zimbabwean tax legislation and statutory reporting requirements.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience using modern accounting systems such as Xero, Sage Intacct or similar ERP/accounting software
will be an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills
