JOB VACANCY: FENCE INSTALLERS
POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 10
We are looking for 10 skilled, hardworking and experienced Fence Installers to join our fencing and construction team.
Candidates must be hands-on and have practical knowledge of fencing, construction, basic building works, welding, grinding and gate installation. Candidates with team-leader or site-supervision experience will have an added advantage.
FENCING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Candidates should have experience with some or all of the following:
• Clearview Fence installation
• Diamond Mesh Fence installation
• Field Fence / Farm Fence installation
• Security fencing
• Steel and security gates
• Pedestrian and vehicle gates
• Fence posts and support structures
• Concrete foundations for fencing and gates
Duties and Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Setting out and measuring fence lines
• Digging and preparing post holes
• Mixing and placing concrete for fence posts
• Installing and aligning fence posts correctly
• Installing Clearview fence panels
• Installing diamond mesh and field fencing
• Tensioning mesh and fencing wire correctly
• Fabricating and installing steel gates
• Carrying out welding, cutting and grinding
• Performing basic building and construction works
• Installing brackets, bolts, supports and steel components
• Operating grinders, drills, welding machines and other power tools
• Reading measurements and following site drawings/instructions
• Loading and handling fencing materials
• Maintaining tools and equipment
• Ensuring installations are straight, secure and professionally finished
• Following site safety requirements
• Completing assigned work within project deadlines
TEAM LEADERS
Candidates with leadership experience should be able to:
• Lead and supervise an installation team
• Allocate daily work to team members
• Take site measurements and quantities
• Monitor workmanship and productivity
• Manage tools and materials on site
• Report daily progress to management
• Identify installation problems and provide practical solutions
• Ensure the team meets quality and safety standards
Qualifications and Experience
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Previous practical experience in fencing, construction, welding or building works
• Good welding and grinding skills
• Ability to use construction and fabrication tools
• Good understanding of measurements and levels
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
• Reliable, disciplined and hardworking
• Able to work under supervision and as part of a team
• Willing to travel/work at different project sites when required
ADDED ADVANTAGES
• Clearview Fence installation experience
• Gate fabrication experience
• Building/construction qualification
• Welding or fabrication certificate
• Team-leader/site-supervision experience
• Driver’s licence
• Ability to read basic construction drawings
