Electrician (class 1)
Job Description
Working on all the electrical installation needed to be done in the Estate including LT lines and domestic according to electrical standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
•
• Maintenance of all pump starters, electrical motors, electrical tools workshop machinery, LT lines and all domestic electricals.
• Read dials and meters to determine amperage, voltage, electrical output and input at specific operating temperature to analyze parts performance.
• Perform preventative maintenance to avoid operational failures of electrical systems.
• To perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• A National Certificate / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Class 1 journeyman certificate.
• A minimum of 2 years’ working experience in the electrical field in the Sugarcane Estate environment is an added advantage.
• Good Interpersonal communication skills and be able to fully communicate with all levels of people.
• Ability to perform electrical maintenance of industrial facilities.
