JOB OPPORTUNITY
DRIVER TRAINER
Strauss Logistics Zimbabwe is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Driver Trainer.
Duties and Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Conduct theoretical and practical driver training programmes
* Assess driver competence and provide coaching and performance feedback
* Promote and instil a culture of safe and defensive driving
* Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements
* Conduct driver inductions and refresher training programmes
* Monitor driver performance and recommend corrective actions
* Maintain accurate training records and reports
* Support continuous driver development and safety improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Experience
REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum of 10 years’ international heavy commercial vehicle driving experience
* Valid Class 2 Driver’s Licence
* Valid Defensive Driving Certificate
* Valid Medical Certificate
* Proven experience in driver coaching, mentoring and training
* Excellent knowledge of defensive driving techniques and road safety regulations
* Knowledge of current Road Traffic Regulations, Environmental Management Agency (EMA) Regulations, and Petroleum Industry Regulations
* Strong communication, presentation and report-writing skills
* Computer literacy (MS Office)
* Driver Instructor, Assessor or Facilitator qualification will be an added advantage
