Zimbabwe National Boxing and Wrestling Control Board (ZNBWCB) is a State-Owned Enterprise born out of the Boxing and Wrestling Control Act (Chapter 25:02) with a mandate to oversee the development and promotion of boxing, wrestling and related sport activities in Zimbabwe. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the vacancy of Chief Accountant at Head Office in Harare.
The incumbent who reports to the General Secretary, shall be responsible for providing effective financial management, financial planning, accounting, budgeting, reporting and financial control services to the organization, ensuring that financial resources are properly managed and utilized in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and policy.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop annual budgets.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts.
• Prepare IPSAS compliant annual financial statements.
• Monitor expenditure.
• Manage revenue.
• Oversee asset and liabilities management processes.
• Assist business development with preparation of business cases, financial modelling and costing.
• Assist with investment planning and commercial viability
Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field from a recognised institution.

A Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance or a professional accounting qualification such as PSPA-Z, ACCA, CIMA, CIS or equivalent is an added advantage.

At least 3–5 years’ experience in financial management within a government, statutory body, parastatal or similar organisation is a distinct advantage.
