JOB VACANCY: CHEF

ABOUT THE POSITION
We are looking for a passionate, skilled, and reliable Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining excellent kitchen standards, and ensuring a positive dining experience for our employees.
Duties and Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare and cook meals according to menu specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
• Plan and organize daily food preparation.
• Monitor food stock and minimize wastage.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations.
• Supervise kitchen and front-of-house staff.
• Assist with menu planning and development where required.
Qualifications and Experience
REQUIREMENTS
• Relevant culinary qualification (National Certificate, Diploma and /or Degree).
• Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar kitchen role.
• Ability to prepare and cook African and Asian cuisines.
• Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety.
• Preparedness and willingness to stay in a remote mining community.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable, creative, and committed to maintaining high standards.
