The City of Gweru invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following vacant positions.
Carpenter
Department: Spatial Planning and Development
Reporting To: The Chief Foreman
Duties and Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
To carry out carpentry, joinery and related maintenance work on Council properties and facilities.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and Experience:
Qualified Class 1 Artisan, who must have served a four-year apprenticeship in Carpentry/Joinery or equivalent recognised qualification.
A National Certificate in Carpentry/Joinery is an added advantage.
At least three years' relevant practical experience.
Knowledge of carpentry tools, equipment and safety requirements.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and measurements.
A valid driver's licence will be an added advantage.
