Job Description

Belgravia Care Services is a rapidly growing provider of professional home healthcare, caregiver placement, elderly care, post-hospital recovery services, disability support, and healthcare staffing solutions. As we expand our operations, we are seeking an exceptional healthcare professional to join our leadership team as Care Coordinator / Care Services Manager. This is a unique opportunity to help establish one of Zimbabwe's most professional and well-structured home healthcare organisations. Initially, the successful candidate will oversee both care coordination and operational management. As the organisation grows, these responsibilities will be separated into dedicated positions.

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Care Coordinator / Care Services Manager will be responsible for establishing, managing, and continuously improving all care operations. The successful candidate will recruit, train, supervise, and support caregivers while ensuring clients receive exceptional, person-centred care. The role also includes business development support, quality assurance, compliance, and helping to build the systems and standards that will define Belgravia Care Services.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

• Lead the daily operations of Belgravia Care Services.

• Develop and implement care policies, procedures, and service standards.

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and professional standards.

• Monitor service quality and client satisfaction.

• Prepare operational reports and performance dashboards.

• Support strategic growth initiatives.

Care Coordination

• Assess client care requirements.

• Develop personalised care plans.

• Match caregivers to client needs.

• Coordinate caregiver schedules and assignments.

• Conduct home assessments where required.

• Monitor care outcomes.

Recruitment & Workforce Management

• Recruit qualified caregivers and nurse aides.

• Verify qualifications, references, and background checks.

• Conduct interviews and competency assessments.

• Coordinate onboarding and induction.

• Plan staff rosters and replacements.

• Manage caregiver performance and development.

Training & Professional Development

• Deliver orientation programmes.

• Conduct ongoing caregiver training.

• Mentor and coach care staff.

• Promote continuous professional development.

• Maintain competency records.

Quality Assurance

• Conduct client visits and care audits.

• Investigate complaints and incidents.

• Ensure accurate documentation.

• Monitor adherence to care plans.

• Implement quality improvement initiatives.

Client Relationship Management

• Build strong relationships with clients and families.

• Liaise with hospitals, doctors, and healthcare professionals.

• Promote excellent customer service.

• Support business development activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should possess one of the following:

• Registered General Nurse (RGN)

• Registered Nurse

• Degree in Nursing

• Bachelor of Nursing Science

• Degree in Healthcare Management

• Degree in Health Services Management

• Degree in Public Health (with significant care management experience)

A postgraduate qualification in Healthcare Management or Business Administration will be an added advantage.

International Experience (Essential)

Applicants must have practical experience working within professional healthcare systems in one or more of the following countries: United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada or United States. Experience working with: Home Care Agencies, Community Care, Residential Aged Care, Assisted Living, Domiciliary Care, Disability Support Services or Community Nursing will be highly advantageous.

Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years' experience in care coordination, community nursing, home healthcare, or care management.

• Experience supervising caregivers or healthcare support staff.

• Experience implementing care standards and quality systems.

• Experience working with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
