Duties and Responsibilities

BACKGROUND AND CONTEXT

Climate change continues to threaten Zimbabwe’s sustainable development through recurring droughts, tropical cyclones, and other extreme weather events. Food insecurity is further compounded by poverty, climate change, and demographic pressures. Vulnerable communities are disproportionately affected by humanitarian crises due to limited social protection mechanisms and persistent inequalities, with women, children, people living with disabilities, and older persons bearing the greatest burden. The ICSP project seeks to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable communities to climate shocks and humanitarian challenges. Scope of work

The ICSP Project Annual Survey is designed to assess progress against planned indicators and measure achievements toward project outcomes. The survey will collect comprehensive quantitative and qualitative data from project implementation districts in Zimbabwe. A mixed-methods approach will be employed, including structured household surveys, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), to capture the experiences, knowledge, attitudes, and perspectives of women, men, youth, PLWDs, community leaders, and other key stakeholders. Data collection is scheduled for the first week of December 2026 and will generate evidence on project performance, outcomes, challenges, and lessons to inform adaptive management and future programming.
