BY-PRODUCTS TECHNICAL FOREPERSON
Hwange Colliery Company Limited Holdings, a local diversified mid-tier organisation with investments in Mining, Real Estate, Health Care, Agriculture, Energy, and Financial Services has a vacancy under the Hwange Mining and Processing Company Coke Works and Gas Plant Section for a By Products Technical Foreperson. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates who meet the following minimum requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
* Facilitate effective resource allocation.
* Ensure a comprehensive understanding of production goals and technical requirements within the team.
* Uphold and enforce technical standards and procedures in operations.
* Conduct periodic work reviews to guarantee compliance with production specifications and quality.
* Collaborate closely with diverse departments to ensure production goals are achieved.
* Ensure adherence of SHEQ standards and procedures.
* Prepare and present daily reports on production performance.
* Produce monthly reports on plant availability, utilization and major breakdowns.
* Identify areas of improvement in the production process and implement changes to increase efficiency of the by-product plants.
* Manage waste and effluent discharged from the by-product plants.
Qualifications and Experience
PERSON SPECIFICATION
* Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a processing environment.
* Strong leadership and management skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Good communication and organisational skills.
* Creative and analytical skills.
* Computer literate.
* Knowledge of pressure vessels.
* Minimum (5) years experience in a production environment.
* Willingness to work flexible hours and be on calls as needed.
* Holder of at least Class 4 Drivers Licence.
EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
* 5 O’ Levels including Maths, English and Science.
* National Diploma in Mineral Processing & Extractive Metallurgy or City and Guilds Process Plant Operation Certificate Part II with over five years experience.
