Job Summary:
Directly reporting to the Raw Materials Head, the candidate shall be responsible for planning, costing, sourcing and procuring construction and renovation materials and services for company houses, retail stores and factory.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare, measure and compile Bill of Quantities (BOQs) for various projects
• Budget based on drawings, specifications and site conditions
• Source and procure building materials and renovation services
• Recommend suppliers and contractors based on cost, quality and delivery capability
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules and payment terms and discounts
• Raise purchase orders in accordance with approved BOQs and budgets
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to sites to avoid project delays
• Prepare budgets for real estate projects and initiatives
• Manage supplier performance, non-conformances, and disputes
• Work closely with Real Estate Office, Engineering team and Finance to optimize service delivery
• To liaise with relevant authorities for approvals and compliance pertaining to buildings
• Enforce adherence to company procurement policies and approval limits
• Prepare procurement and cost reports, including project spend summaries.
Qualifications, Experience & Core Competencies:
• Diploma or Degree in Quantity surveying, Construction Management, Procurement & Supply Chain Management, and Civil Engineering,
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the same or related role,
• Proven track record of experience in BOQs preparation and costing for renovations and building works,
• Strong leadership and team management skills,
• Excellent negotiation and commercial acumen,
• Proficiency in procurement and Microsoft excel.
