BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
The incumbent will be responsible for proactively identifying, evaluating, and launching new business lines while concurrently supporting existing operations through market intelligence, sales agent management, and client service excellence. This position requires a blend of analytical, commercial, and interpersonal skills to enhance both local and international business operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Proactively scouts, researches, and evaluates new business opportunities while integrating digital solutions to modernize existing operations and improve efficiency.
Manages pilot programs for new initiatives and gathers market intelligence to guide strategic decision-making and the development of organizational policies.
Manage the necessary documentation and logistics to facilitate export procedures, supporting international trade activities.
Leverages digital tools and data analytics to Conduct in-depth market surveys and research to gather data on customer preferences, market trends, and competitor activities.
Oversees the implementation and optimization of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to track client interactions and sales pipelines.
Collect and rigorously analyze customer satisfaction data and preferences to provide reliable and
feedback
utilizing digital support channels for strategic organizational use.
Provide comprehensive coaching, mentoring, and training to sales and marketing teams to enhance their professional skills and knowledge base.
Oversee and manage the activities and performance of sales agents to ensure alignment with organizational goals and
targets.

Qualifications and Experience

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & ATRIBUTES
• Bachelor's degree in Sales / Marketing, Business/ Agribusiness / Economics, or a related field
• A Master's degree in Business Administration
• A Certificate / Diploma in Agriculture is an added advantage
• Demonstrable 5 years' experience in business development, public relations, and marketing
Expertise in market analysis, commercial negotiation, project management, export/logistics coordination, sales team leadership (including agents), and advanced relationship management.
• The successful candidate must be a strategic thinker capable of driving business growth through innovation and technology adoption
