•Interpret building plans and drawings to determine layouts and material quantities.
• Construct walls, foundations, and other structures according to approved drawings.
• Ensure compliance with building by-laws and safety regulations.
• Calculate angles and determine the vertical and horizontal alignment of brick courses.
• Lay bricks using mortar as a binder and use a trowel to level and finish work accurately.
Qualifications and Experience
*Qualifications*
• Certificate or Diploma in Bricklaying from a recognized institution (Polytechnic or College).
• Class 1 Certified Bricklayer.
• Minimum of three (3) years' relevant working experience.
