Clerk – Accounts

THE JOB

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Clerk to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the smooth operation of our accounting department.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Record daily financial transactions in ledgers and accounting systems.
2. Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
3. Assist with payroll preparation and statutory deductions.
4. Maintain organized filing of invoices, receipts, and financial documents.
5. Support month-end reporting and assist in preparing management accounts.
6. Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams regarding account queries.
7. Reconcile bank statements and petty cash used for site operations.
8. Ensure cash advances for field operations are properly accounted for.

Qualifications and Experience

2. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

1. Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, or a related field.
2. At least 2 years’ experience in a mining environment.
3. Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
